Panarea is a tiny, calm-looking island that hides a great deal of underwater volcanic activity. At a shallow site, Laurent Ballesta and his team discovered a natural jacuzzi. Underwater, columns of CO2 bubbles and sulphurous gases emerge from the ground. Between the bleached landscape and the remains… there is an opportunity to study the acidification of the oceans.
